The nationals who want to stay more than 90 days cannot use the ETIAS visa waiver for their extended stay in any of the Schengen state. The extended stay will cost them more, and they will have to face dire consequences in such a case. The Palauan nationals are legally bound to obtain a Schengen visa that will allow them the stay longer than 90 days without any hassle. Using the ETIAS for employment or studies is not a good idea either. As it will also result in the situation where the holder will be fined, sent back to the country, or the ETIAS will be revoked right away. Any such incident will lead to the permanent denial of the ETIAS authorisation in the future. That’s why all the Palauan national and other member state nationals are legally advised to stay not more than 90 days in the six months consecutive time. In case of any issue or the authorities deem the applicant a threat to the EU citizens, the visa waiver will be refused at once. It is imperative to look for the desired country, whether it is in the Schengen area or not. UK, Serbia and Ireland are not in the Schengen area that why you should not apply for ETIAS to get access to these countries.

ETIAS will be the visa waiver that will be important and crucial to obtain if Palauan nationals want to enter the Schengen states. The visa waiver will allow the holder the stay for 90 days. The ETIAS is a visa waiver that allows the stay to the holder, and it will remain valid for the period of three years. In the three year period, the travel can enter and leave the Schengen border any time and as many time as required. The holder cannot stay for more than 90 days. The visa waiver system will keep a record of every visit and number of days. And in the 180 days’ time period, the maximum days stay which a Palauan national and other citizens from the member state can avail is 90 days. The 90 days may or may not be consecutive, the total time of 180 days will be there in the system, and the traveller must stay out of the Schengen area for the period of 90 days in order to gain access to the Schengen states once again. After completing the 90 days out of the Schengen border, the 180 days period will start once again, and the 90 days limitation will be there to check for the stay and entry of the travel. Palauan citizens who want to have stayed more than 90 days must go for the Schengen visa to get access and stay for more than 90 days. The resident visa study or employment visa is the basic requirement for a longer stay, and Palauan nationals can get the visa from the embassy in their country.

The ETIAS is not only for Palauan nationals. It will be in effect after the last quarter of 2022 for all the citizens of member states. The TIAS will require personal and security-related information from the applicant. There will be an online portal which will take all the information from the applicant along with the passport and personal detail. If the applicant tries to hide the criminal record, the national and international database of law enforcement agencies will be checked and screened to provide the authorisation to the applicant. If the authorities find that the applicant has any ties with the obnoxious organisations or involved in some serious crimes, they will refuse access right away. This will stop the people with the obnoxious background and which can be a potential threat to the EU citizens will be stopped right away and will not be welcomed at the border of all the Schengen states.

Palauan citizens are eligible to apply for the ETIA, and it will give them access to all the Schengen states. The ETIAS authorisation holder will be allowed to enter any of the Schengen states and stay there for 90 days. The UK has never been part of the Schengen, and it is not now. But the Palauan citizens are allowed to enter the UK without applying for a full-time visa or any small visa. The Palauan passport is enough for the citizens to enter the UK and stay there for 90 days. If the citizens of Palau enter the UK through Ireland, they will get a stay of 3 months. The UK will also leave the European Union because of Brexit. And after Brexit, the visa policies might change for Palauan citizens. That's why it is advised to check for different countries' visa policies before making reservations and bookings for the flights.
